About the Position

You'll be:

Working on our Ruby-based back and frontends
Building a message-oriented architecture using technologies like Rabbit MQ
Keeping plenty busy with application development and API integration
Using agile development practices (no waterfall here)
Contributing to open source projects
Able to dabble in other areas outside of coding

For this position, you'll need to know:

Ruby and Ruby on Rails
Web technologies (AJAX, JavaScript, CSS, etc.)
REST
TDD
RDBMS
HTTP scalability

Ideally, you'll also:

Know other languages (Java, Perl, Python, etc.)
Have strong Unix/Linux skills
Understand what makes a good user experience
Be self-sufficient and able to set and meet your own goals (we don't have a lot of "meetings" or "managers")
Have an interest in security
